History
Built in 1996, our shop is located within 2 mile of Lake of the Woods, in northern Minnesota. This provides a large test area of 1,679 square miles with a wide variety of constantly changing wind and wave conditions. Since that time various hull designs, in the personal, sport and commercial categories, have been evaluated for safety, efficiency and comfort.
In 1998 we branched out into non-traditional vessels with the construction of a small twin engine hovercraft. This was followed by several airboat designs. One of which is still in operation carrying mail from the mainland to Oak Island, MN during times of lake freeze up and spring thaw. It has proven to be a rugged and dependable vehicle even in the sub-zero temperatures.
Final design and initial construction layout of a Wing in Surface Effect was begun in the spring of 2012. Project currently on hold.
On the drawing board and in modeling stage: Peripheral Jet Air Cushion Vehicle (skirtless hovercraft).
